It's got several bends, curves, and is not as simpl as measuring a square. Much more involved. Fail.

I was going to make one in CF but after doing my berger panel theres no way I could deal with the glare from the sun hitting that thing.

There isn't a spec sheet from GM that has the dimensions or anything? Anyone have one out of car that can be measured?

dude did you not read, this is not a part that can just get out a measuring tape and get a few dimensions, the sides are tapered front to back (with a step that fits under the A-pillars), the front has a variable radius arc and there is a hump over the steering wheel/gauge cluster area not to mention the curve around the defroster vent, so no there is no "spec sheet" for what was a 3-d mold at the factory, if there was someone would be reproducing these out of a better quality material already instead of making crappy overlays.

What you need is a non-broken one that can be used to create a new mold to then use to make new ones from.

I would suggest what 99% of people, business's etc. do when replicating existing parts, obtain as original and make a mold off that. That's how its done. No sense in making harder than it has to be.

Yeah that's what I'll have to do. Just needed a basic idea of size. Well close as possible, So I can get a good quote. A buddy works at an aerospace place here in SoCal and can make things from scrap carbon fiber they get left over. And he says they're pretty good sized. That's why I have the idea of that damn panel that breaks. Those things are pricey from GM. Thanks for the ball busting though Daniel. Haha. Thanks for the calm response LT4vert.
