Steel braided fuel lines?

Steel braided fuel lines?
Has anyone ever changed the two fuel lines in their engine compartment from the rubber to steel braided? Not the wrapping fake type, but the actual lines. If so, can you post pics and where you got them. If non sponsor site, please PM me with the info. Thanks.

Not an F-body, but I have braided fuel lines on my '70 Corvette. Russell hard tube adapters go right on to the fuel rail. I'm not sure what the other end of your fuel line looks like so you'll have to figure that one out on your own.

I have quite a few pics on my website. www.kmmotorsports.com Click on "The Black Beast" for pics of the car and click on the LS1 swap link for swap pics and info. It's not complete, but then again, neither is the car.

No kidding, Im attempting to outfit most of the hoses with braided and Earls econofit clamps - stuff is adding up quickly. Only problem with braided is its application is limited by some of the contortionist twists and bends; i.e. the LS6 PCV. I tackled the fuel by getting the billet fuel logs and braided fuel lines(feed) from Nasty Nate, but I'm not even going to touch the damn evap - atleast not until I run out of things to do this car.

The other fuel line I was talking about would be the one right next to the fuel line going to the fuel rail. Stock both are rubber and even wrapped together in that heat tape. One line goes to the fuel rail and the one in question goes to a little box type thing lying on the manifold then from there it goes into the front driver side of the intake manifold. Whats that line for?

Only one hose is for fuel.. the other is part of the emmissions equipment (some sort of vapor return line.. no fuel though)..
The fuel line is easy.. I had the metal schrader connectors cut off the fuel line and #6 AN fittings welded on. then I had the right length braided hose made for it.
BUT the other hose is a PITA to do (i never go around to it).. it has plastic fittings and these can NOT be made to work with braid.. im glad my 69 car dosent have emmisions
Oh, you could use compression fittings instead of AN fittings.. would be cheaper.
