Default These " Retro " birds on the Sail Pannel.....

you guys's opinions please. I have an 01 white Trans Am , and I am already going to order the Pinestripe BlackBird stripes for the hood and spoiler in Black and I already have the CETA mod done in Flat black ( plastidip ) , but I saw these bird decals, and I really like the look of them, I just don't want to have " To much " going on, on my car with the BlackBird stripes soon to be put on and the CETA mod. You guy's thoughts and opinions please ? Thanks - Mike http://emblempros.com/inc/sdetail/2043/1983

my general rule of thumb is to debadge a car so I wouldn't add one myself regardless of other mods.

I love those badges , but I favor less on the outside of the car. Very tough to dance the line between classy and trashy. A small one above the door letters can look nice though. Sails... Never liked that myself.

When did they stop putting the bird in the sail panel? I remember my 97 Firebird had the emblem on the sail..

I don't like them, the less clutter on the eyes the better.

I don't recall a third or fourth gen with a bird on the sail. For sure no 4th gen.

Sometimes I like mine, sometimes not.

I wish they made them from thinner material.

I concur.

But, I did have them on my car early on. I then came to the realization that I didn't like all of the extra randomness on the car and went for somewhat of a cleaner look

I believe the third gens had the decal on the sail panel. An emblem will last longer than a sticker.

The 3rd gens definitely had them, at least some years. 4th gens never had them factory. Not even CETAs, Firehawks, or anniversary cars.

I have actually thought about using these on my 94 on each front fender. Will most likely try it and go from there. And I agree that they need to be cut from thinner material*
