Using Zaino for the first time...
Just a quick couple of questions....I'm gunna use Zaino for the first time on my bird and I was wondering should I really use Dawn before putting on my first application? Or is this just a waste of time? Or will the Zaino not work over the wax that's already on there?

I've always heard the best results come from cleaning the existing wax off the car before using Zaino. So yeah, use Dawn to get rid of it before you start.

Wash the car REAL good with blue dawn (from Sal's mouth) as you would usually wash it. Mix some of the Zaino wash with water as a lubricant (the right ratio should be in the directions) in a spray bottle and soak where ever you're gonna use the claybar. Makes a big difference.

My car only has 9000 miles on it with no swirl marks, bug guts, or road tar....do you still think i should clay? And even if I don't clay should I re-wash the with regular soap before applying the zaino?

i don't think the clay is necessary that often. if you wax your car often, you can tell if there is stuff on your car or not when you feel the body after you wax. if it's smooth, there's no reason to clay. the back bumper above the license plate (the part parallel to the ground) gets more **** on it than anything. i think that should be clayed about once every 4 months. your car could get it once, maybe twice a year.

Using the Dawn the first time is all it is ever used to remove the old wax. After applying Zaino there is no reason to ever use it again. Zaino literally bonds to the paint, that is the reason to get the surface completely clean.
Clay the first time and only as needed after that. If an area feels a little rough, clay it.
