Default Removed moldings...Have a little Clearcoat overspray

My side moldings were looking horrible,so I took a chance that the paint underneath was good the paint looked really good,so off they came. The car looks much better now.

I did however notice some clear coat over spray in the little channel that runs the length of the car where the moldings were. The moldings were painted a few years ago and I didn't really notice it until now. I tried some polish and it removed most of it,but there is still some there.

I was thinking about trying a red clay bar,but wasn't sure if it would do anything. Let me know what you guy think.

I didn't wet sand, just used some polish. Should I use some 2000 grit? It looks like dirt got embedded into the clear coat before it completely dried.

So you're sure it's not leftover glue?

I should have said, "Have you tried to wet-sand & polish?"
