Default Hit a deer. Need suggestions for HID Projector headlights

Hey guys, so I hit a deer in my '99 Camaro a couple of weeks ago, and am looking at making the switch from halogen to HID lighting. Problem is that I have been looking all over the forums and have been seeing these awesome setups but honestly have no idea where to start.

Do I need a HID conversion kit? I've been hearing a lot about Xentec - is that the brand to get? I've heard they don't compare to real HIDs though. Should I stick to the regular reflector housings or should I look at getting some Halos?

Any help would be appreciated! Not really sure what to look at or think about getting at this point.

pretty much.

you get what you pay for with that kit.

I have the kit in my LT1, and I have NO complaints about it. I do not blind others, and I can see 100000000x better at night. beautiful kit.

I third the recommended link for bls. They used an oem housing and excellent parts from the retrofit source for the hid components. Easiest possible solution for you if you want "real" oem type hid and dont want to fabricate.

Yet another vote for BLS. Yes, they cost more than ebay specials, but good reason for that. Definitely get projectors for the HID lights. Do it once, do it right!

I have a set of older Xentecs (back when they cost $80) and they don't compare to my $120 Morimotos, and today's even cheaper $30-40 Xentecs are even worse.

1. HID kit, if you want better lighting then yes get an HID kit.
2. DON'T buy Xentec, they are just one of the many crappy brands, the Zenex on Amazon are decent but if you want reliable quality get the Morimoto 3five from the retrofitsource.
3. "halos" are the little like rings around the headlights popularized by BMW, they are NOT a specific style of lights, you have 2 styles of lights Reflectors and Projectors, both can either have or not have Halo rings depending on if the manufacture of the lenses wants to add the halos for style.
