Default vertical doors group purchase

i know many are opposed to the idea but i for one think they look neat, i saw a 98 ta with them and looked and functioned fine. www.verticaldoors.com will create direct bolt on if they have 10 orders for same car or style the price is $1599 a set. so i was wondering if i could gather 10 people to make order so as not to have to get universal kit.

Oh, I'm thinking some of us are gonna get flamed, but I am interested, I wonder if it has acutators so that it opens on its own?

I'd be interested, but when is the deadline for having all ten people? Also will they include the actuators with the kit?

Again, does anyone know if it comes with actuators, or auto open/close?

Just some random thoughts that you may want to ask the manufacturer:
1. Do you expect some water leakage for cars equipped with T-tops?
2. Those of you with Camaros instead of T/A's may wonder about the side mirror placement or modification to fender.
3. Window sealing?
4. Resale value of automobile with modification such as this or rephrase this as "Can I return the car back to stock"

In my opinion, this has to be one of the worst modifications that one could make to these cars. Imports and such, can afford to do this b/c of dimensionally smaller doors, and lack of T-bar roof. If this modification is performed, I hope you all keep the cars garaged. Water intrusion isn't going to be random anymore, it's going to be expected.

Good luck,
Tony

But hey, maybe this will make it easier to get out of those tight parking spots that every single one of us has experienced.

According to the website, and some other guys I've asked about their Camaros and TransAms, even with a T-top, there is no leaks. Certain kits, not sure about this kit, do not require fender modification. And to my knowledge, all kits are reversible.

I don't think it's that bad. I'm not doing it to my car, but I wouldn't fault someone else for doing it.

I guess lambo's are rice since they have them. How bout gullwing MB's?

Yes, it would be nice to get out in tight parking spots easier, but I'd rather keep my car out in BFE so the OTHER guy won't be putting dings in my doors.

since we are posting opinions.

I half way like it. What I dont like is what appears to be the amount of roation angle in the doors thus limiting mobility in and out of the car. I lalso am unsure of how secure the fit would be on the car.

If I had a pure show car. Those would be fun with the handles shaved and auto unlock on a solinoid so they would raise up when you unlock the car
