I need to remove my factory hood latch, and have been looking at Aerocatch install threads. With the Aerocatches installed so far out on the hood, is anyone seeing their hood flex with no center anchor? If so, how did you address it? This is for a factory style/weight hood, not an ultralight carbon fiber type.

I don't think I can answer your question compleatly. I'm running them on my 92' Z28 on the factory hood but I still use the factory hood latch with them. I only removed the factory "popper". No flex but of course mine's anchored in the middle still so....

Almost certain another member here who has them was going to be installing one in the center of his Trans ams hood. Don't remember if it was because it was already flexing or if he was just being extra cautious, though. I'm sure he'll chime in since he's very active on the forum.
