Default Camaro side molding

I've been wondering for awhile, has anyone ever painted their side molding strip on a Camaro a different color? I've done a google search and didn't see any, and a search here and all I've seen were people totally removing them.

I don't think you will like it one bit, if you paint it black it'll look like a truck, any other color and you'll be ripping it right off, speaking of that just rip them off and call it a day. If you don't know how to do it search for it

I'm indifferent either way, just surprised I can't find any examples of someone doing it. My car is a black 2001 ss, and it kind of looks bland from the side. I painted the screen red on the ss hood and that looks nice, but I haven't seen that done much either

I think the whole piece of molding painted red would be too much, but maybe removing it, and pinstriping the gap above it might look good? I don't know how to post pics, not that computer savvy hahaha

Nothing on that picture other than that. The only other thing i've wondered about would be a red pinstripe on the slp grill on both sides of the middle ss decal. think it would tie in nicely with the red screen on the hood. Don't have any pics of the front of the car though, and its on jackstands in the garage waiting for me to put all my new suspension parts on this afternoon

I agree on the tinting, think it would look sweet. Maybe this year. The car came with those rims when I bought it, I bought the chrome looking ss caps for the middle though. I wouldn't have bought these rims, im partial to the chrome 5 spoke stock ss wheels. One plus with black rims are how easy they are to clean compared to the chrome ones

I don't know about the whole pin striping idea.....
A stripe like the car camaro performers had on black Betty would be cool and different

Just a thin strip of red in the crease in the door, fender and rear quarter. Just curious what it'd look like. Definitely not set on the idea
