Default 6liter CME valance

http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=165_23_25&products_id=29

Interested in opinions people have about these CME valances. Looking to make my car CME and it's tough to find a OEM valance. Whoever ordered one from this site can you tell me how it looks in person?

Any other recommendations are welcome also.

Thanks

I would probably buy one of these if there was a pic of it on a car.

If I got a deal on one I would buy it now and send the installed pics back within a week. May drum up sales. But as is, a huge risk without seeing one in real life.

Mark, if you have one, can you at least send pictures of it off the car?

All 6le parts, removed the double sided tap to install and used glue, had the exhaust welded with the valence mocked up. Going to remove and have the valence molded into the bumper. My only complaint is the seam, wish I had someone else install the valence

How will you get the valance molded in the bumper? Is the valance feel cheap or is it made out of high quality material?

The Valance is good quality, can't beat it for the $$$. Fit is good as long it's installed correctly. I have the Dual cutout valance from 6LE but that's pretty much the same thing.

I'm going to bring it to a custom shop that does hot rods and those types of jobs to get it done and installed.

It's a little rough but the painter should be able to clean most of it up (edges)

Mounting was definitely more then a one person job.

The piece is worth it, looks nicer then the SLP valence in my opinion

key word installed correctly. I had mine installed incorrectly and it gave me problems. Had two different body shops install it. Last body shop applied windshield adhesive and good god its a pain to remove. Im still removing it to this day.

Yeah they can be a PITA to install correctly and almost impossible to do yourself just because of the way SLP designed it.

Basically you start from the center, work your way to the sides, and there is ONE SPECIFIC POINT on your bumper it needs to sit. Too high it's too short, too low it's too long. You should have less than a half inch gap on each sides behind the fender well when your done (which easily is gone when you add the body tab, SLP did this for possible shrinkage).

The ONLY difference between ours and SLP (tooled from original) is that we use a higher quality urethane (which is solely due to the fact it's been over 10 years and there's been improvements). Other than that it mounts identical, etc...

Also, now until the end of the month is the best time to buy because if you enter code TAX20 at checkout you'll get 20% off the valance...

http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...products_id=29

So right now with the code they'd be $340 shipped (within the 48 states) instead of $415 shipped.

Thanks will be ordering soon. Can you tell me the difference between the CME exhaust tips you sell and the original SLP ones(except for the second weld)?

^^That's it. Cast the same way, just better metal, from an "OEM" piece...

Here's my 6LE CME valance and 3" tip. I molded mine in myself and I haven't had any issues. This year I will put on the 6LE's aggressive spoiler and front and side splitters as well as the dual plane splash guards.

^^ The black Berger and valance look right at home together on the red. Should have been a factory option.
