This week is "Project Paint and Lower"

Mods include: Eibach Pro-Kit, Hellwig 1 5/16" front and 1" rear Sway bars (painted silver) Energy Suspension Hyper Flex Poly Bushing Kit (Red Bushings)

POR-15 rear end and front Knuckles. Alot of work but I enjoy doing it.

The stock ride before the modding starts:

The rear end is pulled out:

The rusty rear always bugged me:

POR-15 is awesome. A little goes a long long way:

The pile of parts. You can see the BIG sway bars on the far left:

More to come. Not bad for one day of work.

Very nice.. funny that they dont come painted.. guess GM has to save money somewhere

You need to hit up Hilco and get stainless bolts for the re-assembly.. Gonna look good when it gets back up under there.. Hey since its out you could polish the driveshaft!!

Looks like a lot of work, but probably worth it in the end.

That is awesome. I would take all the parts and have them powdercoated while I was at it, that was a ton of work.

Looks good!

Black POR-15 = Good

Silver POR 15 = looks BAD.

It discolors horribly after awhile. Don't think the warning from the makers is a joke. I painted the area under my hood were I did the !wire mod and it's lookin crappy and yellowish now. I had welded up the holes and didn't want things to rust up.

It doesn't really matter in the long run because the underhood area will be sprayed black. I only used POR15 to make sure no rust would form in the meantime.
