Just something to think about when considering a cover. The biggest thing is tiny particles of sand getting between the cover and your paint. When the wind blows sand gets in there and essentially acts like sand paper. I used to run a front bumper car bra and essentially the same thing. Im sure its not that bad but for me personally I would look for something that will give support to the cover as to not rub up against the paint in the wind. I've thought about designing some kind of PVC cage and find some sort of skin to stretch over the cage and anchor it to the ground.

Car covers that are outside can do more harm than good. If you aren't driving it in the winter I'd get a storage unit, else a carport is the way to go.

My car sits outside and I opted against a car cover due to what is mentioned above. Unfortunately, if you can't get a garage or build a car port. You are on beat street. it sucks my poor WS6 is rotting outside - right next to my viffer

Unless you live in the desert I recommend buying a 10$ disposable plastic car cover and putting it on as base layer and then your high dollar cover. Works awesome for outside vehicles. Will even cover wheels and tires completely,, just take them off and its ready to roll. Been doing it for years. No sand paper action here I can promise!!!

As stated car covers will mostly do more harm than good to your car. Honestly you're best bet is just to give your car a good polish/wax to protect the clear coat and if you have room, get one of these to keep out falling leaves and other debris.

This is what Ive got going. Plastic acts like a static window cling and doesn't shimmy back and forth. Done it for years and have never had any issues with my paint by using it. Just don't keep it on car that see's 150 degrees or better in storage*
