Default Considering making a new Firebird bumper... Which one do you like?

EDIT: Updated thread here...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...l#post18955798

Original post below, HOWEVER, since no Bird guys can ever agree lol, use this thread to photoshop whatever you want, you have one week (July 9th) then which ever version ten people want we'll make. If ten people can't agree (and obviously are ready to buy) then we give up making a Bird bumper for good, just like we did on the hoods lol.

Which of these three options would you BUY (any of them would be $750 + shipping by them selves, $650 + shipping with group purchase of 10, $550 + shipping with group purchase of 20)...

Option 1) Heritage Bumper... Exact copy...

Option 2) Formula/Firebird Bumper with Heritage Style Kidney Grilles...

Option 3) Trans Am Bumper with Heritage Style Kidney Grilles...

Option 3 is similar to the Evo Bumpers but with the Kidneys matching the Heritage better with Honeycomb Waterjet Cut Mesh... all the bumpers would be made this way so it just comes down to styling.

Sorry for the crappy photo shops lol...

Who likes what and why?

does it have to be heritage grilles or are you custom making the inserts and can shape them however you want? I had an idea to take the firebird/formula front bumper and cutout and "sink in" a honeycomb grille that went OVER the DRL and fog lenses, basically cutting the plasti-dipped area of the bumper around the lights (but refining the edges a bit more) in this picture.

Could you photoshop the last bumper with the "shelf" under the turn signals and then add an LED strip for DRL/turn signals to the lower edge in an L shape?

I think that would help make the new open areas visually fit better.

I'm more a fan of modernizing, rather than going retro. Just whipped this up today using a photo on this site.

^^^ that looks nice. I don't think any of the other ones above looks better than stock. Granted I don't drive a bird but it's hard to improve on the stock design but your concept actually does it.

Whichever you do, don't forget turn signals. I'm not sure if the lights on that heritage one are turn signals or fog lights.

If we did Heritage we would just use foglights with halos that could also blink.

I like the modern idea... can you do a chop of a Bird bumper with ZL1 grill opening and foglights bezels?

I agree with Q, I would much rather see an attempt to really modernize the bird.

Here's a rough chop I made awhile ago that was inspired by the ZL1. Maybe it can help get some ideas flowing.

I think pretty much every idea posted so far is either too square or has too sharp of corners for the extremely round body of the rest of the car. They look out of place

It's difficult to improve on the original OEM bumper design; the loss of the fog light openings with a squared off grill looks weird IMO.
Why not add fender flares or a full on body kit to really change things up?

While scrolling through this, all I could imagine is that I was playing a game of need for speed and looking for which body kit to put on my car lol

I edited the first thread. You guys have 7 days to photoshop whatever you want. Get 10 people who want to buy it and we'll make it. Only making one bumper and if one person designs and does the photoshop that everyone else chooses and is ready to buy they'll get a free one...
