Default New hood

Hey all,

So I really have been wanting to get my hands on an SS hood for my Z.

I've had very limited luck finding a used OEM one that isn't horribly damaged (I mean, seriously Ebay?)

So how are aftermarket hoods? I've heard awful things about duraflex, but what about trufiber? is VFN's 3" scoop a functional one?

I think my current hood is aftermarket (carfax said it was in an accident and there was hood damage) and it seems to fit okay, just wondering what everyone elses opinion is

Is it 93-97 car or 98-02?? I have a 97 and its almost impossible to find a true SS hood or even an aftermarket one at that is in the used market. Used aftermarket ones are beat and OEM are new prices if not higher. Good luck and if you find please post up!!

Mine is an 02. I just don't wanna spend money and either have it be impossible to fit, or fit but take me 2 weeks and a **** ton of minor adjustments to get it to fit right.

Might just go with an ultra z hood from vfn.

The Ultra Z hood is a great choice. They are near impossible to find for 93-97 cars*
