Default Trans Am build thread v 2.0, LSX/N20 ect.. (UPDATED TNT VIDS & 360FLY VIDS))

UPDATE

One Last tnt outing before the tracks close for the holidays.. Then the Bullet is getting dissasembled for the next round of updates:

See pg 2 for vids!

7/27/13 - My v1.0 Build Thread, since then lots of fun, and many changes.

Incase your curious of my story. start here-->

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...dy-inside.html

After the thread I enjoyed the car at shows and at the drag strip. I started getting a little more serious with racing it and finally got my 10 sec slip.

Well not long after that i sold my daily and purchased a c6.
So i decided to get even more serious with the Trans Am, and what started as a quick motor swap turned into a year long build.. lol

The sad part is through out the year i took tons and tons of pictures of everyting i did, I lost all of those pics that werent posted on my IG due to a phone issue. : /
but the show must go on...

Shortly after the last thread , 10 Sec nitrous pass

A couple of weeks after i started pulling things apart:

While i was busy building the motor for months the body was left sitting. I eyed it for several days before i started cutting/trimming/welding/ and installing mini tubs! I also sold the 4.5" bs RTS i had and went with 5.5"

After realizing this was going to turn into a drag car i also relocated the pc/relocated coils to the frame/Deleted the wipers and cowl!
and i might get flammed for this bc im in houston buttt. DELETED THE AC.

While the body was getting some attention i slowly completed the motor. I had missed Tx2k14 at this point by months but was aiming for 2k15.

Luckily i have a friend who also likes the things i do, and that greatly helped along with process. He had finished his project and was in picture taking mode while mine was down. This helped me with my sanity.

Funny thing is before the Ac delete, i had purchased a new clutch and was still going to rock the T56. That changed quickly after remembering how much fun the Th400 was. sooo. this happened:
Also sold alot of the old setup parts and went with Kooks True duals/Viking rear Coil overs

The Car took quite the beating at my body shop as far as paint condition goes while i was waiting on parts for the motor ect.. So by the time i FINALLY stabbed the motor and trans in it was time for a fresh new paint job.
( Here is where the lost pics really hurt )

At this point the car was mostly together and starting to shine. This was so much more fun than the months of dust and waiting on parts lol

I started a BIG project of redoing the engine harness from scratch. I added these quick release Plugs on the firewall where my new engine harness plugged into.

I also wanted the Nitrous system to work well together with the rest of the cars components, Heater/Transbrake ect.. So i purchesd the NCC-002 and made my own harness and control center for the electronics using a leash relay board.

TX2K15 Time came!! i wasnt 100% ready but i went in hoping for the best.. Still having nitrous issues, i was only able to make motor passes on a nitrous timing tune for a best of 10.8 all motor. FELT GREAT!

i was happy to put the power down and looking forward to solving the nitrous issues and setting up the suspension better .

Well the car finally ran and drove around great! Chasing down an electrical issue and having some issues with the nitrous kit and an unforeseen setback (big boom)
led me to a new intake setup, Speed density and some more goodies.

Too much winning in this thread. Damn nice build you have there. The hood really sets the car off in my opinion.

"It's so black...light just seems to fall into it."

I've got a soft spot for black-over-black cars and this is an awesome example. Looks totally menacing, great work!

Thanks for the compliments guys! Its been a SERIOUS work in progress for a while and still is!

I may have the video of the 10 sec pass, ill try and post the link here.

Ive been dyeing to install that hood just never really had a reason. The plate and accufab TB sit so tall on the intake i had to get the hood or cut the old one severely . It was the excuse i was looking for lol.

The hood is so LIGHT! but at the same time its very flexible, thus why i went with the fasteners.

The nitrous board is bolted to where the passenger rear bottom seat bucket was. I removed my rear seat a long time ago, but kept the bottom buckets to keep stuff in. im now down to 1. lol
ill try and snap a pic of how it sits and post it.
