Fixed Peeling Clear, Added WS6 Hood, And More!
The first half of this year wasn't a good one for my paint.
First the clear on my bumper started to go (after a good scratch from goodyear). It was peeling in one small spot, but it slowly spread and soon enough 30% of my clear was gone.
Shortly after my bumpers clear started to peel, I noticed my quarter panel (which had been repainted after someone backed in to me 4 years ago) was starting to bubble. The bubbles just got bigger and bigger, and were starting to let water in, until one night it froze and the clear coat was coming off in sheets. Then after all that my CETA started to peel as well.
Before:
So I decided to get my paint and some other things fixed before I went back to school for the fall.
I ordered a TruFiber WS6 hood from WS6Store, which by the way had great customer service. Got my hood, quarter panel, and bumper repainted. Ordered new decals for my center taillight section, and hood, polished my wheels, and stripped the plastidip off of my CETA (which I still have to respray).
After:
And I couldn't be happier with it! Next step is lowering her

Thanks guys.
I usually stay around the UL/freetown/cajundome area. I also haven't been there the whole summer either! I cant really tell from your pic, is that a pewter SS?

Hmm I only remember seeing two pewter camaros in Lafayette. One was really loud (definitely h/c) and I think it was on a drag pack (could be wrong) and it was on Johnston by ul and turned towards Girard park and the other was kinda quiet on zr1s by freetown.
Also, just redid my CETA

I guess our cars are more desireable now... One guy came around my cul de sac (in a gated community) asking if I want to sell my car right now for $5000, while I was cleaning up the garage. Next night, I put it in the garage, where I normally keep it outside.. lol In the 3 months I've had it, about 3 people directly asked me if I would be willing to sell it to them. Weird. Never got asked in any other car I've driven...

I was originally gonna lower her and do some other suspension before I got the hood and paint. I had already bought some koni 4/4s last summer and then my paint started to go, so I put the suspension on hold. I actually probably could have gotten most of the suspension for what it took to get the paint hood..
