Default How much interest in 1998-2002 OEM style Dash Pads?

Meeting with another injection molder on Tuesday (great guy from this site ) and looking to see what the interest is...

More than likely they'd all come ebony and if you want grey you'd have to paint it, not sure yet though grey may be an option.

Looking around $400 + shipping normal price but $300 + shipping at a pre-order price.

We would need a lot to make this work. Is there still interest in this? They would be identical to OEM.

I most definitely need a new one. So is this going to be abs plastic so it won't crack in the future? Mine just started cracking a month ago and boy it has surely enjoyed cracking itself to pieces since then.

Those are just thermal formed plastic. Basically a heated up sheet of ABS stretched over a mold to give it the shape.

These are factory style, injection molded poly carbonate. No difference in this and factory (clips, grill, LED holder and all)...

I have one of those, fits ok, nothing special and has some other issues as well. Have pics if anyone wants to see.

I'm interested Mark, I'm your beta.

My dash is in excellent shape but I would be glad knowing these are out there, for if and when that day comes. Would possibly buy one just to have at hand*

I would buy one. Mine is in a million pieces from an unfortunate event. Will be watching!

Well it would be nice if it had one difference. If it wasn't as brittle!

I'm 100% in but $300 shipped is about what I'm working with. Just have to go the wrapping route otherwise

Seconded. I don't care what type of plastic it's made out of, as long as it matches okay and is oem fit. Just make it survive extreme hot/cold weather and allow me to take it on and off if necessary without shaking hoping it won't crack.

I know that probably is alot to ask for. Idk why gm couldn't have just made the dash all one piece like the corvette.

Thankfully I still have a perfect dash pad, but I've seen more fbodys with cracked ones than not, so I would imagine there is considerable demand for these.
