Default LT1 TA with 98-02 Front Clip

Anyone have any tips or tricks for getting the body lines straight and making the hood look more flush?

I have done the swap a while back and will be going to paint in a couple weeks. I dont know if my paint guy is willing to do all of the meticulous work and getting things right. I can provide a few pics if need be

Don't do it. Save your money on paint and future optis and buy an ls1 car.

^LOL where this guy come from? Another person that let the LT1 conquer them.

OP, only thing I can say is to mess with the mounting tabs. Or slot them to gain more adjustment. I'm sure it will take a lot of trial and error.

Its already done. And I dont have an opti. Body lines are just off.

Couldnt afford a LS car when I started off so I did it the cheap way and change the front clip.

Nothing hurts worse than losing to what most think is a LS car that has a LT1. The butt hurt is real

Yea I'll try slotting them. Trying to get it close to original as possible.

Thanks

Gotta tell ya its a pain to do it yourself, even w/ oem parts. I had a 95 LS swap car that I did it on and I never got it to match up perfect. Even after several adjustments.

It takes a lot of finesse, time, and patience. Heck even just changing the fender on my old 98 Camaro and getting just that lined up halfway decent was a pain in the butt. (I was also having to deal with bent brackets too, fun.)

Yea it seems to be that way. Seems like I'll be spending a lot of time trying to make this work.

I am pretty sure I have a couple bent brackets as well. The main problem is I have fender exit exhaust and before my buddy cut the hole, he didnt (nor did I) make sure the fender was straight. Now the door pops everytime you open it. With trying to get it painted, I am scared the popping will damage the paint

Why MS3 over EFI or TH?

I'm planning to go TH within the coming months.

Well my Car will be streetable but geared more towards the track. I want to create an ET Monster for the parts I have.

The features that MS3 has like built in 2 step, bump box and boost controller are key things to me. A bump box, boost controller and 2 step is roughly $1300 new when MS3 is about $1800 for all the bells and whistles.
