Are ebay ws6 fiberglass ram air hoods any good?
I got a huge dent in my hood today, now I'm looking at buying a ram air ws6 hood for my 99 Ta.
Are the $300-$400 fiberglass ram air hoods from ebay any good? Anyone have experience with these? If so, please list the pros and cons, such as alignment, proper fitting etc.
What about suncoast creations hoods? They are $900+, but are they worth it, or better than ebay hoods.
I want one thatwill bolt to the factory mounts and hinges and have no issues.

I read Trufiber hoods fit good. The duraflex and the hoods4sale get tons of complaints. I was researching all of this recently myself... The only hoods I personally have used are us exotics, but he doesn't seem to be making them right now.

Second for US Exotics, also just an FYI, the black gel coat he uses is a pretty damn close match to the factory black on the F-body, so you could get away with not having to paint it right away if you have a black car.
hood4sale like stated above is notorious for crap fitment, i've not seen the one you linked in the second post and I wouldn't let the 90 day warranty be something to attract you to that product, the warranty is CRAP, it doesn't even cover shipping back to them.
once you get up to the 500+ you start to get into the more quality brands, I still say either buy an ORIGINAL WS6 hood in the 700 range or get one from US Exotics when he gets caught up enough with back orders to list them again, but be prepared to wait, it takes a while to get it.

I went to the ws6 store and they have Trufiber hoods for $537 shipped. They also have a few more brands
like Glasstek and Vfn....all in the $500s range.
If I could find a true ram air, I would buy it.
Isn't there a nice bit of weight savings with the fiberglass hoods?

I went with trufiber from the ws6store and couldn't be happier. Great customer service, and the hood fits amazing for being aftermarket. I've even had people think it was an OEM WS6 hood before.
Can't beat the free freight shipping either

I saw trufiber at the ws6 store and that was the best price I found and it also seems that you don't have to wait months to get them as they are in stock. I tried to get a us exotics because its with in driving distance, but never heard anything back from Roger. I tried VFN and was told 8 weeks.
Of course a factory hood would be 1st, but someone said like 700 above... they go for more like 1k on the low end from what I could find.

Yeah, you would think around a big city like Houston you could find one. But I'm not having any luck.
Does the trufiber hood look exactly like the ws6 hood?

Here are some pics of mine. As previously mentioned, it has mesh grilles instead of the honey comb and it also has heat extractors in the rear. I could get some more pics if you would like.
