Default Where to buy ws9 hood

Vfn is 10+ weeks out and I'm looking for a similar hood to fit my 2001 trans am with my super Vic and 4150 tb. Anyone know any companies that make something like this?

I'm starting to look for something too. I want/need a hood that goes back to the windshield to cover the cowl area but don't want a 5" Pro Stock looking hood. I'd love to get a 3" Firehawk style hood. Anyone know of some decent places for hoods!!??

Have you checked out the WS6 store? I bought my ram air hood from them several years ago.

Not yet, but I will. Thanks for the suggestion.

I believe theirs is the stock height though. They have the ws9 hood. Not the outlaw. That mold was sold to vfn from my understanding

If you want one, VFN is your best bet. If you follow LS1tech much, you'll know that ordering one from Roger is a big risk.

I also recommend ws6store, I cant remember if they have the outlaw or not, but when I bought my Trufiber WS6 hood there last year the customer service was outstanding.

Read through this. This would scare me enough not to take that risk.

That's really strange. But that's one issue out of hundreds of happy customers? Or are there more? All I have ever heard was good things from him. The communication has always lacked but the hoods were delivered and were really nice as I read it.

There were more than just that one guy. There have been several threads about it. Just giving you a heads up before you send him your hard earned money.

I read a long thread about him last night right before I sent him an email, but that was all positive. I'll be surprised if he even replies to be honest. I'm not too far to go to his shop personally, actually I told him that I would pick the hood up. We'll see what he says, thanks for the heads up.

One issue? One issue out of many happy customers? $500+ a bunch of time and stress, not to mention being ripped off on a ws6 airbox and having new hood struts for no hood must be a small issue. Good luck. Might as well help out the Nigerian prince that sent you an email to your inbox

See, that way easy.

But seriously, I know that your situation sucks, really bad but as far as I'm reading you are an extreme minority. Who knows what happened with your hood but I can't judge a business on one issue when seemingly hundreds of others are good to go. Just my luck though, I'll get screwed too!

I'm a big fan of Roger, but I will say this, he has had his fair share of timeline delay issues. If you are in touch with him, see if you can't come and pick it up, and avoid the shipping hassle. I know it isn't a great option for a lot of people, but in Virginia, it's worth the day drive back and forth to go meet him, and get it in person.

I'm on my second hood from him, only because the first one was involved in a mistake I made and forgot to latch my hood, and lost it.

How do you get in touch with him? I fully planned to go pick it up. I'm in northern Va, not too far. Plus I like to drive and it's a nice drive. Not to mention saving some money on shipping.
