help: hairline scratches on my chrome Z06 wheels

Default help: hairline scratches on my chrome Z06 wheels

my chrome wheels are in pretty good shape, except for one of the inner spokes...there are many hairline scratches covering the entire flat surface...they are kinda like swirl maks but on a wheel...how do i get these off??? i tried mothers polish, but no luck...and no, i don't want to take fuc*in grit to them!

Use a foam applicator and a medium polish, it should come out perfectly.

Don't use Mothers metal polish, that should never be used on chrome.

what polish do you recommend? i don't give a **** how much it costs, it bothers me that much...my car is black so i kinda get used to swirls, but on my wheels, hell no!

Something that's easy to purchase locally like Meguiars DACP, 3M Swirl Remover or Meguiars Swirl Remover (in that order). They're all pretty mild.

About your paint, I feel your pain, I need to detail yet another black car this monday, the owner is fairly picky on how it is cleaned and it still looks like a swirl magnet. So frustrating.

sorry Joe, i don't want to sound like an idiot, but i have never had this problem before...are those polishes u suggested like...polishes for car paint? or for wheels? i think i have some of the 3M at home on me, seems like its for paint, but ok for wheels?

It is desgined for clear coat, same stuff thats on rims. I even went a step further and found out from a few others who have done the same thing to make sure it's safe and effective.
