Default Help me decide colors for engine parts??

This winter I plan on doing alot of stuff to the engine compartment to dress it up for the show circuit as well as add just a little more power. But I am having trouble on what colors to use. Here is what I plan on doing. My car is a red SS vert with a black top.
1. Powder coat timing cover (color?)
2. Powder coat valve covers (color?)
3. install a satin electric water pump
4. install a black idler pulley
5. do wire mod
6. power coat or polish tb?
7. Not planning on painting intake, but ya never know???
8. polished aftermarket fuel rails
9. powder coat coil pack brackets (color?)
10. get rid of AIR
11. paint headlights, brackets around them, and other small items that can make a difference. (color??)

I guess my main problem is exactly what color/colors schemes to go with that will draw atttention, but not look over done.

Give me your opinions, please.

Black or Red come out the best and would look great with a red car. So my vote is for something like Candy Apple Red or something like that.

Goodluck.

I think black or red would both look sweet on a red SS...however, I'm with Todd...polished and/or chrome are the way to go!

Polished= alot of elbow greese
I like chrome, but so many are going that direction, I thought I might try to be different.

What do you think of this.
Red valve covers with black timing cover and idle pulley. This along with a satin water pump, polished tb, and factory intake color. Black coil pack brackets with polished aftermarket fuel rails. Is this bling enough???

Then what to do with the bracket at the front of the engine compartment? Also chrome, polished bolts would look good in place of the wire mod holes. I think

I guess I am having a hard time vsualizing what the final project will look like.

LOL, it is tuff planning it all out, but it is a good idea to think big picture so you will not have to go back and change things.

Fuel rails are metal, metal should be chromed IMO. If you polish them they will need to be coated or they will rust.
