Getting rid of bad smell in car...
Couple of weeks ago I went to my friends house and did the dumb thing of leaving my windows down. When I got outside I could see paw prints going from my hood down the door and into the car. I get inside and can tell right off that the bastard left his mark. So the next day I go to orileys and get me some frebreeze auto. Well it seemed to make its own digusting odor. So now I have a nice scent of cat **** and a mildewy smell from the frebreeze. Any help would be great. Should I get the carpet shampooed???

I have never tried this but I heard that it works. Lay a plastic sheet or something down on the floorboard of your car. PLace a bowl in the car and put bleach in it(hence the plastic). Close the car up and let it sit for a couple days. The bleach is supposed to draw the smell in and obsorb it. Just make sure nobody gets in the car and pills the bowl. Like I said I don't if it works because I have never tried it but I heard that it does and it makes sense.

There is some stuff called simple solution you can pick up from a pet store like Petsmart. It is for getting rid of urine smells and stains from carpet and furniture inside the house so I am sure it would work inside a car.

Bro, I've been there and done that. Left my windows down one night inside my garage and my cat used it as a litter box. Lemme say this....
DO NOT TRY AND GET RID OF CAT **** ODOR ON YOUR CARPET, IT WILL NOT HAPPEN
Trust me, I went for about 2 months using everything under the sun, probably spent about 150 bucks on shampooing, and even using **** you can't even buy in the stores. Nothing works. Cat **** is an almost indestructible odor. You mind as well start saving for new carpet like I did. It's about 200 bucks from SPDC which is a sponsor on ls1tech..
Good luck

I'm putting my money on "new car smell". Any takers ?
Cat **** is some stinky stuff, that's for sure. When I used to have a carport before I bought my house there was an alley cat that would **** on my wheels, grrrrr....
Fortunately it was on the outside and would wash off easily. Inside in the carpet I'd probably try some pet odor removal spray from pet store and soapy water on a rag... The thing is you have to find the spot first (and hope there's only one)...
Glad to hear airing it out a little helped.
