Cluster for Autometer gauge update...
Dropped off my gauge cluster to the guy working on it... we are only going to be able to get one 3-3/8 Gauge and 4 2-1/6 to fit... cant get 2 3-3/8s in there.
he is using two pieces of the cluster to make it work... the front and the white back piece... the center piece with the acutal needles and circut board come out and will be replaced by the aluminum center...
some dremeling will be required obviously... should be done by next week.
also looks like there will be enough room on the face to put a hole for a harlan shift light next to the tach... should be good times!
Side note... my other thread was closed. Not sure why. If I am in violation of any rules or what not... let me know.

I'm not sure I understand what youre saying. I like the autometer guage idea if everything would fit behind the stock clear plastic piece.
So the odometer and trip are being retained...what about the other guages? Is he peeling the black face off and replacing it with an aluminum piece?
Isn't there some internal circuitry that needs to be retained so the ignition works?
I'm interested in this idea...
