Question on Meguiars 7 and 26

Question on Meguiars 7 and 26 I use a 3-step clay bar/7/26 on my cars. When the wax(26) gets a little weak, if I go over the car with #7 again, will I have removed all the wax then? Or am I supposed to wait until the wax is mostly gone and start completely over ?
