Question Whats the best way to protect my paint??

I was wondering... Im going to be doing alot more Interstate driving going back and forth to college... So I was wondering whats the best way to protect my paint? Ive heard of those 3M paint protection kits, that are almost invisible.. but are they really? Does anyone have one of those kits? Are there car bras out there that are easy to remove? Because I would take it off in the city... How much and where can I get these car bras or paint protection kits? Any other tips welcome...

One thing I do when driving across the state (especially at night) to make it easier to remove bugs, is to spray the front of the car with PAM cooking spray. once the trip is over, just wash it off, all the bug guts come right off!

You will want to keep your car waxed/sealed very well. My suggestion would be to invest in a bra. That's the best way to minimize bugs and rock chips. Plus, you can take it off around town if you want to.

those 3m kits work well but they are expensive around 2-400 and thats installed. so if you want you can just buy a bra then install it when you need to but becareful cause it can scratch your bumber when dirt gets inbetween that and your paint.

Go with a good wax job and the Pam spray like mentioned above.....car bras look dumb in my opinion. I'd rather look at rock chips than a car with a bra.

A bra is only good for temporary use or the occasional road trip in my oppinion.

I dont care how clean you keep your car or the bra, it will scratch your car.
The longer you keep it on your car the more it will scratch it.

I have repainted several front ends on cars from having a bra.

Well then... If I do wax my car good... will the pam spray hurt the finish at all? Also, where would I get a car bra? How much? What kind? Also, are there ones out there that are easier to take off than other ones are? Thanks ALOT!!!

Chevrolet sellls a nice bra for the camaro. I got mine for $75 from the dealer. High quality piece and it fits really well. It will be tight the first time you put it on, so it will take probably about 20 minutes, but after that it comes on and off in less than 5. Make sure you keep it real clean and dont leave it on for extended periods of time. Dirt WILL get under there especially if it rains.
