Default List your paint care steps from wash to wax

After reading thru a few threads and searching about the Porter Cable random
orbital buffer I've found out a few things. I use Zaino and while it's great,
you really need some other products to make it shine.
Here's the general list I've compiled from my research.

1) Wash the car with dawn to get off all the old wax.
2) Clay with whatever clay bar you like using a lubricant.
Next a medium to mild polish in the case of my car. The question now
becomes the number and kind of polishes need?
Menzerna Intensive Polish & Final Polish applied using a Porter Cable?
I know the general steps are:
3)initial polishing
4)final polish. After that you need to use a glaze.
5)glaze to condition the paint, I just don't know which one to use?
6)Finally Zaino Z2 or Z5 to lock in the glaze.

I guess I need help with what levels of polish to use and a good glaze.
Also help on any other steps I might have left out?

When using Zaino, my process is as follows:

Wash - I don't recommend Dawn, especially when polishing (defeats the purpose of Dawn)

Clay

Menzerna IP with orange or white pad

Menzerna FP with white pad

NO GLAZE WHEN USING ZAINO - IT PREVENTS PROPER BONDING

Zaino Z5/Z2

There are many polishes and products to choose from. Menzerna and Zaino is a good combo for great shine and durability. Glazes can be applicable when using carnauba based products.

I see why now after reading this article.

I don't know if his combination of products would be better than the ones you listed or not. I've heard that you need to condition the paint which I'm not sure that Zaino really does that?
Either way you go it's a pretty substantial investment to get started.

Products aren't as important as process. Proper prep work is the key to making your car look its best.

Products are mostly personal preference. There is nothing wrong with Zaino. It's got great shine and great durability. There are many other products though.
