thats the first picture i've seen of it where the gauges werent spotted like crazy. Did you try and ask him about doing it? i'd be interested in getting mine done over winter - just the headlight controls and gauges clusther though... if the price was rgiht.

http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/leddash.shtml , I did the blue led conversion to mine looks killer , gives it a neon appearance. You need a lot of patience, to do it , though.

that thirdgen article is pretty complete in what you'll need partswise and figuring resistor values. Note: you'll have to make you have the polarity correct or they won't light up. I bought all my stuff from Radio Shack.

I've seen a pic on ebay before where someone changed the odometer and everything to blue. Been kicking myself ever since for not saving that link/pics as I've never been able to find them again. That'd be too cool to convert everything to blue.

This will work on our 4th gen? I'm looking for something I can print, and give to my brother in law, a stereo installer and car/truck/chopper customizer. Would that be the one to use or is there something else?

Yup , it sure will. You replace the bulbs in the instrument cluster, it's the same as the thirdgen. Disassembly of the dash will be different but other than that, same principle. They just twist out of the cluster , you pull the bulb out and solder in the new LEDs and resistor. It's not that hard to do just requires time and patience. The effect is well worth the effort and you can get them in just about any color imaginable. Go for it!

i've tried doing the LEDs in the 4th gen but its all spotty like nbm said...
theyre may be a possibility that you can do it with 3mm LEDs and angleing them so that they shine the main parts, it may not be as spotty but youll still have darker spots than others.... I'll see if i can do anything with the cluster and ill do a write up whether it works or not.. give me about a week for me to finish my finals and ill get to it....

I really like the effect and people who ride in the car are asking how I did it and if it is neon. I spent around 100.00 for the parts but I put 2 LEDs in each socket so they would be brighter . If you're not concerned about money, 3 would be even better.

Don't me, but I found an topic/write-up on doing LED conversions on ClubSi.com (yeah, that's SI as in Civic Si)
You have to register to search, do so, then search for either "LED Climate Control" or username "NeoNoodle"
I changed the Climate Control in my Civic, and it's fairly simple (I promise, if I can do it, anybody, ANY-BODY, can!) and looks pretty cool too!
Best of luck!
