Default Asr Button

My car does not have ASR, but when I pulled the trim off and looked I have wires and a connector running to where the ASR button would be. I have a black tab there. If I buy a ASR button and plug it in will I then have ASR or is it more to it then that?

It's a little more than that unfortunately. On non ASR vehicles the ABS sensor is mounted on top of the 3rd member. On vehicles with both ABS and ASR, the sensors are out at the end of the axles. It'd be easy to check by just feeling on top of the 3rd member, if there's something plugged in on top it's ABS only,,,,,,
