I had a OEM SS Hood painted a few months ago. And they had so much trouble getting the hood to match the rest of the car. They finaly got it done but has to blend the hood to the fenders, and the bumper. Has anyone had this trouble with SOM or was it that the bodyshop was not worth a flip.

Yep SOM is very hard to match. It is probably better that they blended it in. What shop did you use to get it done?

My car was rearended about a year ago. Got new bumper, tail panel and some touch-up on the decklid and spoiler. I think the paint matches perfectly & my painter didn't seem to have any problem matching the paint.

You painter was probably a better one than mine. Because mine had to blend the paint.
