Default clay bars, and molding

hear about clay bars and want to know exactly what they do and where to find them i also drive a white truck so i always have like black @#$% on it that wont come of especially by the back tires and cant seem to ever get it as clean as i want it and i heard someone else say that this is the forum to go to he said he spent mad bucks after reading some post but anywho any help would be great. one more thing i want to remove my molding but dont want the sun fading to be evident can anybody give me suggestions for any of this ... thanks so much in advance for the help

The clay bar can be had at AutoZone for $12-$15; Meguiars. It works awesome. Zaino is an entire kit ( http://www.zainostore.com/ ); clay and polishes.


For the molding, I removed mine at 50K, 4 years and had no fading. I used goo-gone and a clay bar to remove the glue/residue.

thanks cause mine has about 50 k on it and is an 02 so about as many years that is amazing that you saw no fading as well

If you do have fading after removing the moulding, you can use a paint polish to restore the finish.

clay from any local automotive shop is ok and you can use the 3m adhesive remover from orileys.
