Default Seat belt clip/holder on race seat

I have a corbeau seat en route, and am wondering what people have done along the lines of the seat belt clip on the stock seat (you know, the one on the top outside of the seat that keeps the seatbelt at a reasonable level)

I was thinking of just zip tying it as it doesn't feel like it would do anything on the stock seat in a crash.

Any advice would be appreciated (pics of what you did are even better )

No one? I was thinking about just holding it on with velcro straps. Does anyone know if this peice is 'intergral' for the belts to work properly durring a crash? Again, the one on the stock seat doesn't feel like it would do much with my wight against it in a crash....
