replaceing side mirror glass w/blue tinted ones
hello,
i am new to this site.i just finished talking to a guy who can get the blue tinted side view mirrors for 1993-NOW firebirds.the passenger side has the correct concave glass and etching on it.my ? is how do you get the old glass out of there so you can install the new glass?he can't get them until after the holidays ,so i figuered i would try to get some inside info on the topic before i try to do the install.any help would be very well-uh helpful.
it would suck to have the glass & not know what the hell to do with it.

I just used a screwdriver to pop the mirrors off (gently of course). They are held on by a "cross" piece in the middle. If you get the blue tinted ones first, take a look at the back of them and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I've been trying to get the blue tinted ones too. They were discontinued mid 99 and mine was one of the last WS6 cars off the line in 99 so I have the regular mirrors. Please PM me with info too.
