I had a quick question for someone who has experience with painting their headlights. Im baking them right now, but what is the best color RTV to use when re-sealing them? red? blue? black? (thats all i have)

actually if u can find clear do that.....but if not, black will do, u just gotta be cool with it cuz it will seep out of the edges if u put too much.

quick question...on the headlights...there is the chrome all around the headlights that is smooth, the wavy behind and below the headlights. What does everyone paint. The smooth and the wavy part on the bottom right?

yeah, paint the ridgid part too. the taping off is the hardest part cuz u wanna be really precise or u will have runs. the best way to do it is hang it upside down if possible and point the spray can up inside of the housing. that way any runs will run out instead of back onto the reflector parts.

b/c the trim around the lights is black rubber, and if you get too much RTV on there, it will look stock. the clear doesnt look normal in the places you mess up, i think the black would be a little less noticeable IMO
