Just got some Stainless Stuff couple ?'s on polishing
So here's the deal:
Just got my QTP LT's today, and they look good and all but I want them to really shine and look really CHROME rather than stainless with some discoloring caused from the extreme heat near the welds and such. Will polishing make this look better and if so what polish to use? what are some do's and dont's?
My dad is a former mechanic and he tells me that the heat of the headers will cause discoloration and it willl take off some varnish(?) or some clearcoat(?) that is on them to keep them in top condition. He also said the Polish will make the headers liable to rust or de oxidize because of the removal of that varnish/clearcoat. also the polish will heat and BURN and start to smell terrible. is this all true? whats the worst that could happen?
same goes for the GMMG ill be purchasing soon...thanks all

You can polish them, but the discoloration will come right back once they're back on the car.
The bluing of stainless steel looks pretty cool.
You could have them ceramic coated.
