Default non-power mirror floppy, how to fix it?

hey guys.....

i have a stripper Z and the non-power mirror on the drivers side flops around. i'm not sure, but would guess the cable inside is broke. what's your thoughts? also, anyone know how to get the mirror off without breaking it all together?

thanks,
Dave

I had this problem too. Just buy a whole new mirror. I've heard the manual mirrors continually break, so I just bought a power mirror, just didn't hook up the electrics. You can still position it manually by hand, so it's all good. Do a google search on auto mirrors. I got mine for like 45 bucks. The dealer wanted 300+ to put a new manual one in, so I save a bunch of money doing it myself with the electric one.

My 98 (the blue one in sig) does the exact same thing. I guess I'll slap a power one in there.
