Default Under hood insulation

Anyone know of a good paint that will stick to the insulation under the hood of a '98 Z28. Or any other way to improve the look of this piece (other than removing it and painting the underside of the hood)? I have talked to one guy that tried painting the bowtie red on a black Z, but said it just kept soaking in the paint. Just wondering if there is some kind of speicalty paint that will stick here?

Just take it off. I've had mine off for 3 years, and there are no problems. You can use some polishing compound and you'd be surprised how nice you can make the underhood look!

When I first got my car in 98 I masked off the bowtie on mine and painted it white. It's still white today. It did soak up a good bit of paint but it looks good.
