The last reply is pretty much the case, the reason I ask the color is because some colors you can get away with sanding the clear but not all the way to the base and then reclear it. But this want work if you have hit something and busted the clear and base all the way thru.
But you will probably be better off to have someone just fix and match the bumper cover, but be aware some colors are harder to match than others.
