What condition are your leather seats in?
Hi guys. I just reciently bought a 02 camaro and the seats arn't in very good condition. The drivers seat is the only one that really shows any wear though and actually its only the left side of the seat. Gradual wear and tear have kinda worn the leather down and it just really annoys me everytime I get in my car and I see it. The leather isn't ripped or anything and there arn't very many creases in the seat it's just starting to faded the leather to an off-white. The area of the faded part is about the size of a baseball as well. Also my car only has 40k on it so that kinda gives you an idea about how much wear it should have. Is there anything I can do to make this look better or will I just haft to deal with it? Also for those who may have this problem could you post up a picture of your seat so I could see it. Maybe then I won't feel so bad. Any responses will be appreciated.

I just recently bought a used set of seats from an 02 WS6 and the ebony leather is in really good shape. I want to keep it that way so I spray leather cleaner and conditioner on them every two weeks.

Mine are showroom condition and I have been very curious what to treat them with to keep them that way. I trust Meguiars products and use quite a few of them, but wasn't sure if I should get something even higher grade for the leather. I don't know if anyone's familiar with these products, but I was thinking about trying the Wilson's Leather Care products. My g/f bought me a fairly nice leather jacket from them a couple years ago, and I've been meticulous about using both the Leather Conditioner and the Leather Lotion. It's stayed looking new to this day. It's actually funny when I wear it on Christmas or the day after I get "Oh I love the new jacket!" at least 2 or 3 times. Just wasn't sure if there was some reason why this would not be appropriate for auto leather. I've also heard the Zaino line of leather care is impressive but have no experience with it.

Thanks for the info guys. I went to wallyworld and got some meguairs leather cleaner and it helps hide the part where its starting to fade but I don't think it will revarnish the leather. Eventually I think I may just buy new leather seat but from then on I will know how to keep them new and fresh looking.

to tell the truth it depends on the leather alot of time. leather can very greatly in price. When i did my truck in leather it wasn't too bad I think I ended up spending a little over $600. To do the car I bet it would be close to $1000 but thats just off the top of my head. I'll ask my father and see what he says
Oh and the front of the seats that you touch are the only parts that are leather. The sides are cheap vinyl and thats partly why our seats wear the way they do
