Default To paint or not to paint my rear tail panel???

I've been thinking about it for some time now. I really like the way it looks but my friend says it doesn't look good. Just wanted to get a few other opinions. Yay or Nay

I also put up a poll in my cardomain page so you can vote there also. If I did paint, it would be a flat black with stainless inserts...and man i love those inserts!

Go for it, I love that look. I plan to do mine with gloss black and stainless inserts on my red Z soon.

If you like it thats what matters right, after all it is your car, I would like to do it eventually to my Red Z as well, sometime in the near future.

Go ahead and do it. It looks great on a white camaro. I just wished I could come up with a color to do to a black Z28 in.

If your not sure about it, buy a panel off of a wrecked car and paint it up. Thats what I did. If I ever want to go back to the red panel I can, but I think my satin black one looks awesome.

the more pics i see the more I want to do it.

thinking...thinking.....thinking... ok done! I can't resist. I guess since my arm is being twisted here I should go out and get me some paint and sand paper for this project. Now I also have to get me some stainless inserts and maybe some stainless 'ss' badges to go around the car. Not too sure how well the stainless 'ss' bages will show on the front fenders tho or how well it will look.

Anyone have pics of stainless on a white car? Or should I just keep the same 'ss' badges all around?? Ideas?? suggestions??

Definentely do it. I admit, I DID NOT want to do it on my car at first. I was very skeptical aobut the way it would look. But now that its done, WOW, best 20 bucks ive ever spent.

also thinking about possibly changing the front grille at the same time. If I do the rear panel black there isn't too much black anywhere else on the car other than the top and mirrors. What if I do a black powdercoat stull grille to match instead of my current polished grille? or should I keep it the way it is now with the black tail panel??????

That would work... that along with maybe the whistler mod (i think its called) where you paint the inside of yoru headlights or even blak halos look great on white.

This is someone's car on the site: I love how he filled in the camaro letters and the emblems in the center
