is yours like this? hey, i got a 99 z28, just wanted to know if anyone else has this problem. open your door and look at where it closes. now look at that plastic piece thats on wall of the back seat, the sail panel i think its called. anyway its suppose to hook over a black rubber peice thats in the door jam, and mine never stays on. i wack it back into place, but evertime i close the door it pops back off. i mean its not hurting anything, it just pisses me off and want to know if anyone elses car is like this

Actually, they "fixed" this problem after the 99 or 00 model year, by adding an additional screw mount in one of the speaker mounting holes on that panel. It may be an easy do-it-yourself fix, but I'm not sure... :shrug:

Ive just said the hell with it and leave it with the gap. only time I fool with it is when the car is at show, then i hook it back and it stays for the day. It used to bother me when i had my 99. Then i noticed my 00 had the same prob and gave up.

frustrating There is a fix to this, that someone had made a web page where they took the panels off, added velcro with the sticky back underneath, then reapplied the panels, claiming they won't pop out again, ...
