Default How to Polish Engine Bay?

Hey guys Ive seen some cars with a real nice polishings of items like MAF etc...
What and how do you do it? I want a nice finish but I do not have all the tools to do it. Im doing it by hand. I heard that u start with a variety of different sand papers and then go to the Aluminum Polish! Any info would be great Thanks!

I can't resist, lol. I am just very proud that I did it myself and did not write a check for everything.

Nice engine bay! I bought a dremel a few months ago and haven't had a use for it (until now). I didn't know the stock parts could turn out so nice. Did you have problems taking the AC unit apart (canister and hoses)? I heard that it will leak freon. Is this true or is it just compressed air or something?

Disconnecting the A/C lines will cause the freon to leak out. After you put everything back together you have to get the A/C system recharged and all that good stuff.

dayuuummm. after reading through all that, i think i'll keep paying for someone else to do it. i don't have the patience nor would my job, wife and or kids give me enough ME TIME to do all that. thanks for the writeup though. i was just about to search or post up about this very topic today.

Dave
