gauge install

gauge install well, since i cant find a triple pillar for a hardtop ive decided to put the gauges in the airvents...but i cant find a good write up on how to take them out. 2muchrice says he thinks they just pop out, but i dont wanna mess them up incase i want to change things later. also, will running a/c or heat hurt the gauges?

They do pop out, but I broke the 1st one trying to figure out how to get them out. You need the 2 5/8" gauges. The a/c shouldn't hurt them any, or I don't see why it would. The car will see freezing temps in the winter anyway, and the a/c doesn't blow that cold, so they should be ok. I'm about to order mine and install them next week.

I'm about to order the 2 5/8 ones. The 2 1/16 one I just tried sat back really far inside the vent, actually in the duct itself. It wouldn't look good at all like that.
