Default Debadged z attracts racers at every red light

I debadged my z this weekend. What a P.A.I.N in the butt it was taking off the adhesive. 3m wax and adhesive remover was the only product that worked. A plastic paint scraper handled with care also helped.

My debaged car with no muffler tips(tsp duals) attracts more stares than ever. It seems like everyone wants to race now. One guy said that I should put a muffler on my car, because v6's don't sound right without mufflers

I did not expect such attention from one simple mod.

THe sleeper look is awesome... there's nothing better than keeping the competition guessing. Once I took off my WS6 badge I was accused of bolting on a "wannabe aftermarket ram air hood". Another guy told me my car was really cheap because it "didn't even come with the side molding along the door" !

Personally I wish every Camaro owner would stop debadging thier cars. I can't tell what's a V8 and what isn't.

I personally would rather set my car apart from the V6 crowd. Of course in the Firebird line this isn't an issue as the appearance of the V6 and V8 cars differes alot.

When I first got my car it was bone stock with the 16 silver 5 spoke wheels and of course you can't hardly see the black Z emblems on a NBM car. I shocked more people the frist few months I had that car. I lit a lighting up one night. At the next light he was like "damn I thought it was a V6"

yeah I kind of liked the fact that you could barely notice my black Z28 side badges on my black camaro, but you can always tell by the orange bowtie on the back...
I eventually got the 68 style emblems on the side and they stick out

I will have some fun. I can always go back if I want it to look stock. What gets me is how little some people know about ls1 cars and their potential. I told a guy that I had a cam and he said that there is no way that with modern automotive electronics today that I could have a cam and pass the obdII test. I told him that I had collector plates and was exempt. He looked at me like "I was full of it." All the guys at the auto parts store agreed with this guy and made me look like a liar.

Only thing I dont like about people who debadge thier cars is it looks they are missing something... Well, they look like a V6, when I see a V6 I think "bah its just a V6" and I dont pay attention to it no matter how good it looks.

I keep telling people use a Claybar to get the adhesive off, it takes less than a minute per badge, its soo freakin easy and time saving.
