Powdercoating calipers vs. painting
I'm going to be getting new rotors and pads soon, and since my stock black caliper paint has faded to gray (like all CETAs have), I was thinking of painting my calipers yellow. However, would it be possible to get them powdercoated instead? And if so, what are the advantages to getting that done as opposed to high-temp paint, and how much more would it cost?

I originally painted mine (used high temp) and it didnt take them a year to look like crap. i have since powdercoated them and they look 100x better and should withstand fading. i would say powdercoat them.

Plus with powdercoating it makes cleaning them a lot easier than paint! You can even use brake parts cleaner on the powdercoat because it is not oil-based and will not break down. Basically all you need to clean powdercoated calipers is something to wipe them off with, some water, and if you really feel the need, a little bit of soap

I used that G2 brush on paint. More like a hardened epoxy. No problems with heat or chipping. Took calipers off, removed pads (didn't disconnect brake line. You have to support them) Took me a while, but the results were awesome.
