Default rear panel painting

i have seen that some of you guys (gals) have had your rear panels painted to match the ones like the berger cars. my question is, what color black is the closest one to that of the bergers, or what are some of yours? picss would help too, im thinking about getting this panel paainted in the future

I just did mine with a satin black color. Im pretty happy with the way it came out. Pics didnt come out too good cuz i have a pos camera and the sun was being a beotch to work with at the time.

I did mine gloss black so I could wax it. The actual Berger style was a satin or flat black. I think it reminds me too much of a base model cavalier bumper. It looks good on these cars either gloss or not. I just went with gloss and clear.

Looks good! How did u guys take off the rear tail off the car? And how many coats of paint did u guys put?

I did mine with low gloss black duplicolor engine paint I had left over with 4 coats wet sanding in between.

How does the Sail Panel come off, or do you just mask off around it and then paint, also i guess the emblems just pop off right, and glue back on?

remove the tails then unbolt the rear tail panel.. i think it was only 6 bolts or so. Emblems come off and then you reuse them with another adhesive

Inside the trunk under the interior panels the taillights have plastic wing nuts and the panel itself has 2 bolts on each side.
