body kit or not?....need a little advice:)
I have a '98 firebird formula and I would really like to make some modifications to the body but I'm not sure what will look good and vice versa. Right now, its all stock. I wanted to put a complete body kit on it but a friend suggested that I shouldn't. He said it would simply be too much and make it look too much like a firebird. To me it looks too narrow and I just want a little something to make it look wider and a little more like a t/a. Something to make it look meaner. lol Id appreciate any suggestions and pics. Thanks!

Change the springs if you want it to "look" lower. Not only will it look better, but it will handle much better to boot. It would also be wise to change the shocks, since the fron springs and shocks have to be taken apart anyway.

Well, I kinda prefer the Formula to look stock, but I like sleepers. If you must have ground FX, I' d recommend the kit used on the "Firebird GT." As far as the spoiler, the T/A hatch looks good on a Formy.

i would not have got a kit if i couldnt have molded it. personally i dont think trans ams and firebirds look as good with kits as camaros. its really a opinion thing. i love my kit, it really sets it a part. so many f-bods look the same body wise. i will say this, if your going to do it keep it clean and do it right. it is easy to make a f-body tacky.

Lower the car a little, that will make it look soooo much better. I had the same conflict with my 94. Then I went with some lower, stiffer springs and adj. shocks. Best thing I ever did.

I'll second in on an oem ram air hood, and join the crowd and say lower it.Don't bother with a body kit, especially if you ever plan on selling the car,it will hurt the resale value.
