check out my websites....keep the car in the hot sun & just peel them off or use some fishing line to get behind it & pull them off..

Still debating on taking trans am off.

I pulled my car in the garage, heated the glue on the moldings with a hair dryer and they came right off. Took me about 45 minutes...I then sprayed goo-b-gone on the glue and that came right off as well

Dont remove the Trans Am molding it looks good just the way it is. Im going to add mine again. I think it adds to the look and it lets 'em know what it is.

Used some dental floss to start it off, then just grabbed and peeled the mouldings off. Had to use some "goof off" to get the adhesive that was left, washed it polished it and and then waxed, can't even tell it ever had the mouldings

Black TA's look so cool with the side molding removed. Looks very clean and uncluttered.
I would suggest some strong fishing line, something to wrap the line around so as not to cut into your hands and some glue gone stuff to help clean the residue off.

After the molding is removed, do you guys have any scratches or marks under the molding?
Look awsome and would like to go that route but dont want any scratches.

IMO Fbodies never should've had the molding in the first place. They both look so much cleaner without it. Undnerneath my molding was NO scratches or anything. Just brand new SSM paint. Also I used a low heat hair dryer and my thumbs to get the molding off. The hard part is not the molding itself, but the adhesive behind it, so watch out. Be ready for some thumb blisters.

You shouldn't have any scratches if you remove it the way guys suggested above. If you do happen to get any scratches, some mezerna (or whatever polish you use) should get rid of it pretty easily (w/ a PC of course!!!).

To take mine off, I got them started w/ a scraper that is used to take vinyl decals off & such. Then just ripped the moldings off after I got them started. I came back w/ the scraper & removed most of the adhesive. I used my sonus clay bar to get rid of most of the excess adhesive. There was still a little residue left after that, so I ran over it w/ some mezerna. You can't even tell the moldings where ever there. It probably took me about an hour total. Definalty one of the better appearance mods you can do.
