Default Black CME valence on white car...

Hi all -

Has anybody with a CME tried painting the rear valence a color other than the primary body color? I think the intimidator monte's look pretty good with the different color bottor trim piece. I have an arctic white car with black B pillar and black 35th anniv. stripes. I was thinking of painting the rear valence black when I get my CME kit. What do you all think?

For some God awful reason my buddy thought that same idea for my car. When we were at the shop test fitting the valence to center the tips we stepped back to look at it. The CME valence before paint is black btw. It looked absolutely horrible. And I even have a black tail panel.

Yeah...it doesn't sound like it would work...the valance doesn't exactly have a great fit to begin with, I think that making it a different color than the body will just bring added attention to the area...just my .02

i dont think it will work. the reason the CME valence looks so damn good is because it seems to flow so well with the rest of the bumper. by painting it a different color it would stand out too much. the whole point of the valence is to blend the tips into the bumper, and it shouldnt be a focal point on the rear. paint it white and it will looks awesome.

I agree that the one piece factory valence blends nicely, but Im talking about the two piece valence with the quad tip. It angles out instead of following the original profile of the bumper cover. This is why I think it might work. It looks more similar to the monte carlo valence. I guess that Ill try it out unpainted black as it comes for a trial fit. If I dont like the way it looks, Ill just paint it AW and be done with it.
