Damn Door
Ok, I am detialailing the interior of my hawk with chrome paint. I want to remove the plastic piece around the door handle, but I just can't get the little bastard off. I removed the screw right in thr center of it, and the one underneath the entire arm rest on the door. But every time I try to get it off it gets stuck on the lock button.
Am I missing somthing?
Please help!

yeah the slide lock just pops off, it sorta has a tab that clicks on the the little rod type type thing behind it. It's kinda hard to pop back on.

I remember having the same problem, even though I had taken it off before, I just moved it to the locked position and it came off if I remember correctly. Just move it around while pulling on it.

The plastic piece used to lock and unlock the doors manually is attached to a "wire like" bracket and just pops off. Then the remaining plastic surrounding the door handle will come off as well.
